Isaac Maimon was born in Beer-Sheba. Israel in 1951. He studied oil at the renowned Avni institute of Fine Ah in Tel Aviv, graduating in 1976. In addition to being an accomplished artist, since 1980 Mr. Maimon has also taught art at the School of Visual Art in Beer-Sheba, and of the Kaye Art Academy.
Mr. Maimon has exhibited extensively both in Israel and abroad. His works were also shown, and well received, at the 1986 International Art Expo in New York.
His warm palette has been influenced by early 20th Century European art, yet he brings to the canvas a strength which is characteristic of his works. In his paintings, one often encounters a twinkle of humor. Mr. Maimon has been acclaimed for his unique combination of dreamlike nostalgia and gentle irreverence which, in his son, worm shades, create a masterful image of a Bygone era. |
